Alice Gun launch, perrier award winning comedians, origami and 90m of fairy lights...

Dear friends,

Good lord it's as good as July already. It was BRILLIANT to see so may friends at Alice Gun's Natural History Museum gig. According to the powers that be there were over 600 in and out that night. And so SO fun to play the venue. Great sound and they had subs. I was the bassist - I like subs.

I write with excitable tidings of our next and 6th release, 'The Swimmer' by Alice Gun. And to celebrate we're having a launch party on the 6th July at the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch.

However this won't be any old launch. With all things Ambiguous we try to have as much fun as possible so we've got an old friend Stuart Silver to kick of the proceedings. If you don't know him, he is a Perrier Award winning, very deadpan comedian who is quite possibly one of the funniest people I've ever encountered.

For those of you who made it down to the Screen print/Ambiguous collaboration gig you'll know Fred and James from Print Club and Cure Studio. They'll being doing stage and room 'visuals'. Quite what they're up to, I'm not entirely sure but I do know it involves origami, chicken wire and helium oh and 90m of fairy lights....

And all this before Alice's band takes the stage. Alice will be joined by her usual trio and also by the incredibly talented string section from the Monroe Transfer. We are delighted that they can play for Alice as all they're all off being super busy - touring in Poland and supporting the likes of Jack White's new band etc. Anyhow it should be a cool night and all for a fiver. And if you book in advance (https://express.iristickets.co.uk/k?ambiguousrecords) I'll give you a copy of the 7" for zip. Can't say fairer than that!

So they important stuff:

Who: Alice Gun, Stuart Silver, Sam Campari
When: 6th July 2009, Doors at 7pm
Where: The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch
Why: because it is a cracking record and a great excuse for a good knees up
Cost: £5 go here for advance tickets and a FREE 7" (https://express.iristickets.co.uk/k?ambiguousrecords)

We are most probably going to take a little break after this launch so please do come down and support Alice and let's see the summer in with a bang. That would be ace!

love
Al Ambiguous x
