The Mores

"Born from the Abba addled brains of Robbie Moore and Alex Metcalfe, The Mores are a lively little four piece band whose schizophrenic pop songs have been downing audiences around and about for the last couple of years.

With subject matter from life and death to sexuality and gender, The Mores deliver brief, crafted, vulnerable pieces with a knowing spark and a foolish lust.

Painting their sound from the great garden of British pop music -  upright bass and drums spell the days when jazz discovered rock and roll, Metcalfe's keyboard lines adding a pint of brains, with Moore's electric guitar and vocals both radioactive growl and sorrowful throe - their songs are three minute masterpieces of profound, edgy, melodic pop music."

- Oscar Parlour, Paris Match

The Mores in the Ambiguous blog

This is all in preparation for our collaborative gig in Brick lane next month - more about that soon.Read more

Thank you to everybody who came to The Mores launch last night. I think it could be safely said that a right good time was had by all - great dancing at the front. My high point had to be Life after life, still utterly loving that track. (it's on the site player if you want to hear it)

And just to top it off and soften the somewhat persistent hangover that has emerged this morning I read this in the Sun today:
