Alice Gun

Alice Gun records in her North London drinks cabinet and down a Lakeland mineshaft, distilling macabre, seductive songs from guitars, glockenspiel, double bass, cello, E-bow, accordion and a lopsided upright.

Really beautiful and profoundly affecting – Tom Robinson, BBC 6

A classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, she also plays cello for blues man Mr David Viner in a long-running collaboration which has included recording with Ed Harcourt and touring with the White Stripes. She also does house music vocals for the money.

Live, Alice Gun is joined by her producer and Damon Albarn-collaborator Al Mobbs on double bass, Robbie Jarvis on drums and Sam Campari on everything else. A string section featuring members of the Monroe Transfer will also join her for the July 6th single launch.
